Little sis got hitched

As promised, I am dedicating a post just to Laura's wedding.  It went really well and was a beautiful wedding.  The events began the night before when we all went to the temple when she got her endowments out.  Afterward we all went out to dinner.  We were all able to meet Braden's parents and socialize a bunch before the stress of the wedding day started.

Morning of the wedding day we spent preparing for the wedding and helping Laura get all prepared. She looked stunning when she was all ready, and had the signature wedding day glow of a happy bride.

Once at the temple we were able to see everyone that came.  It was really fun to see family that we haven't seen for a while, and won't be able to anytime soon because of the move to Boston.  We particularly loved seeing the cute little baby Henry (and his parents).
Just so pretty

When Laura's sealer walked in, we noticed it was the same one that sealed Nate and me, and we had both just chosen a random sealer.  We talked to him afterward about it, and it was a good reminder for us of our own sealing.  However, it was a really different ceremony from our own, which helped us know that they are tailored to each couple by the Spirit.

We started set up for the wedding dinner, which was at the Joseph Smith memorial building. It turned out beautifully.  Laura had chosen mostly cream colored linens and flowers and it looked AMAZING. Great food, people, conversation, and speeches.

I was really grateful to have this be the last big event before our move because I got to see Laura get married. I loved being able to see and be there for her happiest day, and it was fun to share that with everyone that I knew I would be missing a lot in these next few years being far away.

The morning after, we met for breakfast with the whole family (cousins and all, except Laura and Braden) at the Grand for an incredible buffet, then we needed some stuff from Logan and wanted to spend a little more time there before we left.  My uncle and his family came up to perform for grandma at her retirement home.  I haven't seen those cousins for a while, so it was really fun to be able to talk to them and get to know them more.

The next day we went home and I said bye to my Mom and Dad, Scotty, and Logan.  It was sad but we are excited for the next chapter!

  1. It was a great wedding and even better to see you guys before you left! You do get a little isolated from family while you are out there but you will both have the times of you lives. Can't wait to hear all about your adventures!
